Charlotte Douglas International Airport Concourse A

Blythe Development Co was a partner in a fully integrated joint venture with Flatiron Constructors on this $44M project. This project created a new taxiway and area for planes servicing the new international terminal at CDIA. The scopes of work for this project required earthwork and a large drainage system with much of the work requiring rock excavation. In addition, the area required soil stabilization, concrete paving, taxiway lighting, communications and fuel facilities. Much of this work was performed in off peak hours due to the proximity of the work to active runways and taxiways.
